On the coldest day of the year two winters ago, my hubby and I drove to Myrtle Beach to check on our little 'slice of paradise,' an RV stored at one of the area campgrounds. While there, even though it was freezing cold we decided to spend the night and discovered a family of ants sharing the bed with us.
Now you gotta understand, I hate 'inside' ants! That Fall when we closed the RV we had taken drastic measures to ant-proof the place. So the last thing I expected to find in my bed that night were ants living it up in my RV on the Grand Strand.
Here's the spiritual lesson. If ants can survive starvation, poisoning, being frozen, and then figure out how to cozy up beside two humans in a warm bed on a cold night, WHY ARE YOU THINKING ABOUT GIVING UP? You have hope! Jesus is all about HOPE. God wrapped Himself in soft, baby flesh and left heaven to give you hope in this life and in the life to come. That's why you are going to survive!
"Why are you downcast, O my soul? HOPE in God!" (Ps 43:5)
