You're tired . . . aren't you? Overwhelmed by the exhausting, never-ending, 'day-in-day-out' routine of your life? And at night weariness shares your pilow and robs you of much needed sleep, while your mind tries to work out tomorrow's agenda. But Proverbs 3:5, says, if you are leaning on your own wisdom, you'll never get off this debilitating treadmill.
Beloved, "Lean on God." Sit at His feet and rest your weakness against His strength. Don't say anything! 'Leaning' speaks louder than words. Don't offer Him clever prayer clich'es with "God is good . . . God is great," beginnings, and "Now I lay me down to sleep," endings. Spend your time 'leaning'. Cling to the hem of His garment and let that be your security blanket tonight. Just lean! Nothing more. "What a fellowship. What a joy divine. Leaning on The Everlasting Arms."
Have a blessed Easter! If you don't have a place to 'lean' on a regular basis, come sit by me at McKee Road Baptist Church. I'll save you a seat and we'll be "Learning To Lean," together.
