On a recent stroll down the beach I noticed that most of my fellow beach bums were not looking at the majestic ocean but down at the sand for some treasure washed in from the sea.
So in the spirit of beach 'bummery', I lowered my head and began my quest for something beautiful from the deep. But try as I may, I only saw broken shells. So I picked up one of those shells and wrote in the sand, 'JESUS SAVES.' A little farther down the beach I stooped and wrote 'NEED HELP? TRY GOD!' As far as I walked I left a written treasure of hope for those coming behind me. And I did it using seemingly useless, broken shells.
Some of you may think God is finished with you because you have picked up a few cracks along the way. You believe you've been cast aside because you have been hit by one too many waves and you have lost some of your luster. Well, excuse me! GOD AIN'T LIKE THAT! In fact He is searching for broken shells who will take what's left and write 'LOOK UP!' across the sands of this world.
That's how this old, chipped, and broken shell is spending her day. Spreading hope with what's left. JOIN ME! There is still plenty of sand.
